Knowledge acquisition
•  To have the knowledge and skills in engaging an adolescent, assessing and managing the physical and psychosocial problems in adolescents
•  Have the knowledge and skills in evaluating and managing victims of child abuse through a multi-disciplinary approach and a better understanding of the legal issues  

Objectives

•  To understand the significance of child abuse and the role of health care professional in prevention, detection and treatment
•  To understand the local resource for child protection
•  To understand the legal issues in child protection
•  To understand the process and content of an effective adolescent interview and physical examination, including issues related to confidentiality and privacy
•  To understand the adolescent psychosocial development
•  To understand the common physical and mental health issues in adolescents
